Good morning. Please circulate the following update information regarding Marc, his home and fundraising efforts for him. I tried to include everyone in this e-mail that has ties to each group that Marc is a part of. If I have left somebody out please forward a copy of this to them.
- Reminder that trust funds are set up at Fidelity Bank in Arkansas and at Regions Bank under the “Marc Floresca Recovery Fund.”
- August 1st, Applebees on Service Rd. in West Memphis, Pancake breakfast from 8:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M., $5 per person.
- August 9th, St. Michael’s Church in West Memphis. Welcome home lunch from 1:00 – 3:00. Donations requested at the door. Please RSVP to Tina Caron, U86Wildcat@aol.com by August 2nd for accurate head count. Please respond to Tina Caron also if you would like to help out with this event with set up, clean up or possible help with food preparation.
- September 19th, bike ride in Northern Shelby/Southern Tipton County. Sign up sheets and more information to follow shortly.
- September 26th, Golf Tournament @ Plantation Golf Course in Olive Branch, MS. Sign up sheet is attached. (Volunteers needed for hole sponsors and prize solicitations. Contact Mitch McLain, mmclain@aptcommerce.com for more information.)
Home Improvement Progress
- As of 7/21 the bathroom conversion is near completion with the exception of plumbing fixtures and a new cabinet. Plumbing fixtures are due to be installed this week and the cabinet next Monday.
- Wooden ramp in garage is completed.
- Aluminum ramp for back patio is to be installed this week.
- Storage shed in back yard is completed.
To do:
- Move selected items from garage to storage shed in back yard.
- Install new cabinets or shelves in garage.
Marc’s progress
- Marc’s tentative arrival date back home is August 7th.
- He is working hard at rehab and is in occupational therapy.
- He and Gigi went on a camping outing with other patients and staff from the Shephard Center to help with situations outside of the hospital.
Sorry for the delay in updates as I know that everyone has been curious about the status of activities. The next mailing will come out with sign up forms for the bike ride.
